Mimi Mager brings over 35 years of professional accomplishments in legislative strategy, government affairs, politics, public policy, and public service to the clients of Mager & Associates (M&A). She is a trailblazer in the field of alliance development and an innovator in crafting successful solutions for clients seeking meaningful resolution to complex and often unique legislative, public policy, and regulatory challenges.
Mimi founded M&A in 2009 and was a principal at M&A’s predecessor firms for 15 years. Prior to entering the private sector, Mimi served as Director of Congressional and Federal Affairs for D.C. Mayor Sharon Pratt Kelly. She worked for the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights on a series of landmark civil rights legislative victories and judicial nominations.
Mimi was a Senate-confirmed, Presidential Appointee to the Board of the Corporation for National and Community Service. She worked on numerous democratic presidential campaigns, congressional races, and as a Senate Legislative Assistant. Mimi was Special Assistant/Deputy to the Director of Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) and Executive Director of the Friends of VISTA.
She is a founding member of EMILY’S List and sits on its Board of Directors, as well as on the Board of The Voter Participation Center. Mimi graduated cum laude from American University’s School of Government and Public Administration.
